| Description: | Graduate IT Field Support Engineer Working for one of our key clients you will be expected to carry out a varied role. Duties will consist of:- Providing on site and remote IT support for employees, primarily dealing with Windows based laptops, Desktops and Peripheral devices. Duties Job Description General Provide on-site and remote IT support for employees, primarily dealing with Windows based Laptops, Desktops and Peripheral devices. Duties and responsibilities: •Assisting staff in local and remote offices, home offices, hotels etc •Perform hardware/software installation and maintenance including upgrades and patch installs •Evaluation, installation, troubleshooting of network, email and virus issues •Build of PC’s, monitors, attach peripherals, configure hardware and run diagnostics •Use of the Corporate Asset Management system •Use the Corporate Ticketing System for call handling, assignment and monitoring and ensure that calls are updated and resolved in a timely manner. •Troubleshoot hardware/software and perform necessary repairs •Handle special projects with no degradation of ongoing assignments and responsibilities •Perform basic telephony tasks such as patching •Provide out of hours cover during weekends and evenings from time to time as required by the business •General Support for Multi-Function Copiers/Printers/Scanners Person Specification Knowledge, Skills and Experience (All the below are considered Essential skills) •Excellent customer service skills •Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both in writing & orally •Good interpersonal skills, must be able to work well as part of a team •Self-motivation and initiative •Ability to learn and develop new skills •Basic understanding of network topologies •Working knowledge of desktop operating systems •Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications •Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook •Good problem solving and analytical skills •Ability to prioritise workload and complete tasks within an agreed timescale •Working knowledge of remote access software •Working knowledge of TCP/IP and network communications Experience and Qualifications: •Recent experience of providing IT support in a corporate environment •Degree in IT related subject preferred but not essential •Microsoft certification in a Windows related subject preferred but not essential |

| Description: | IT Systems Manager - Woking - £30,000 to £35,000 plus bonus A "hands on" technical role for an IT specialist to manage the day to day IT issues that can arise within a busy manufacturing company, with particular responsibility for the management of manufacturing and accounting software. Key Responsibilities Administration of current Manufacturing/Accounting software. Data Analysis, extraction and reporting from current databases Maintenance of IT security at all levels within the company. Maintaining The Company IT policy in accordance with new legislation. Managing new IT projects through to implementation as approved by the Board Main point of contact to deal with IT issues relating to products we design, source/resell. Creation and maintenance of a coherent IT policy for standardised hardware/software for company internal use. Specifying and initiating orders for new hardware/software. Written justifications and ROI planning may be necessary for high levels of expenditure. Basic hardware maintenance ( install new memory, install new software , rebuild PC) General IT problem solving Skills/Knowledge Required Windows Server2003/2008 Microsoft Exchange 2003/2007/2010 Active Directory VMware and desktop virtualization Citrix LAN/WAN TCP/ICP Scripting Data Replication ERP systems architecture Database management and manipulation 3-5 years experience in a Manufacturing environment Package Full time position with a salary range of £30-35,000 per annum depending on background and experience Normal working week 9.00am – 5.15pm Monday to Thursday, 9.00am – 5.00pm on Friday with one hour for lunch daily Additional productivity bonus – when applicable – paid monthly in arrears (currently averaging approximately 6% basic salary) Sickness Absence Pay, Non-contributory Company Health Scheme and Death in Service Insurance Schemes available after a successful six month performance review 22 days annual holiday (January to December) rising to 24 days after two full calendar years, plus Bank Holidays Free parking on site This role could present an excellent opportunity for the right professional so please do apply now if you have relevant skill set and experience. |
