An exciting opportunity for a sales hungry candidate to join a small, dynamic, friendly organisation. The company offer hybrid working with flexi-time. The majority of sales will be made over the phone.
Though the Godalming office is small the company are a subsidiary of a global giant in their exciting sector. The company has ambitious growth plans in the UK through both acquisition and geo-cloning. Culturally there is a good balance of small ‘family’ spirit and local autonomy with the strength, stability and positioning of a hugely strong brand and global business.
The BD Executive is responsible for generating leads and selling ticket and digital products. The individual will be responsible for a large portfolio of data prospects (and incoming enquiries) with the aim of qualifying and selling the UK products. They will be paid competitive basic salary as well as a bonus paid on set KPI’s and revenue brought in against all products and inventory.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Own a portfolio of leads and prospects to qualify and progress through the sales funnel
- Calling lapsed clients, as well as prospecting to new business
- Visiting competitor shows
- Be immaculate with administration (CRM, bookings )
- Research magazines, online, other events to look for prospects
- Gain deep understanding of industry
- Chase outstanding monies if required
Essential Skills and Experience
- Selling – following a clear sales process, first class questioner, listenener, presenter, ability to close
- Clear verbal commnication skills
- Good written communication skills
- Highly professional approach
- Excellent planning and organising skills
- Determination and hard work
- Exhibition and digital sales preferred, but not essential
