HR Reward & Benefits Manager


Our exciting client is looking for HR Systems Reward & Benefits Manager, this is a new role and presents an exciting opportunity.

This is a new role that will make a difference in many ways; including the development of our data insight, bringing payroll, reward and recognition, policies and processes together as a shared service for the Group and developing our HR system, HR reporting and self-service tools. This role combines data, policy and communication, it needs to take the lead and not be led and find commercial opportunities and solutions.

Main Responsibilities and Key Tasks

  • Lead and develop the team, making it a fun learning environment whilst ensuring that all annual processes are delivered on time and accurate
  • Develop and deliver a roadmap to harmonise and develop the function as a shared service; ensuring stakeholders understand priorities, budgets and timescales
  • Agree and manage annual budgets for reward and recognition, benefits, facilities, systems etc.
  • Work with the HR Business Partners, Recruitment/Global mobility team and Finance to design and develop appropriate products and solutions – always seeking to improve diversity and inclusion
  • Ensure team provide quick and effective advice to HR partners, Line Managers or employees
  • Ensure that all employees are aware of the benefits that are available and communication is highly effective – creating visuals and tools to support communications
  • Manage annual pay review and bonus scheme – influencing design and scheme rules
  • Ensure regulatory requirements are met and reportable – managing relations with HMRC
  • Working with the HRD, develop HR reporting and data insight capability to influence decision-making
  • Design and develop HR system and other platform self service capabilities
  • Develop the use of job and salary evaluation and bench marking to remain competitive
  • Lead the development and implementation of a user friendly and relevant policy framework – ensuring it hits the right cultural tone
  • Ensure the office working environment is safe, an engaging space to work in and easy to use
  • Develop supplier relationships and tender processes
  • Scan market trends for opportunities to improve our employee value proposition for this function
  • Attend networking and industry events to build relationships and learn from others

Skills and Experience:

Knowledge & experience of payroll, pensions, rewards and benefits at management level.

  • Able to analyse and work with data using advanced excel or system reports
  • Developing HR system capability
  • Experience in policy and process design and delivery
  • Highly experienced in data insight and presenting analysis/recommendations/reports – pragmatic with solutions
  • Experience in facility management
  • Proven ability to influence at a senior level, communicating complex information commercially
  • Experienced team leadership
  • Confident public speaking and engaging people with initiatives and plans
  • Agile – able to switch between analysis and practical implementation
  • Knowledge and experience of payroll. pensions, reward and benefits at management level.
