Role Profile

You will be required to perform tasks commensurate with the facilitation of new business for a working capital team via outbound direct calling of potential customers, direct prospecting / marketing. The role will require you to research, qualify and develop a warm pipeline for working capital Sales Specialists.

Key Responsibilities 

New Client Engagement 

  • Engage with new clients based on a defined target based approach and facilitate well qualified introductions to the working capital team.
  • Working as part of a team to set agreed deadlines and targets.
  • Fully utilising CRM and working within the set parameters.
  • Gaining a detailed understanding of the company offering.
  • Booking appointments for sales specialists.
  • Identifying appropriate cross selling opportunities to maximise our customers’ journey.
  • Monitoring appointments through the ‘sales funnel’.
  • Help to create a culture of high performance

Lead Qualification: Ensure leads in CMR system are valid and complete 

  • Qualify lead to justify a good understanding of how our value proposition will suit the customer’s requirements
  • Research additional information on lead, e.g. current dealing arrangement. Business ownership size and potential wallet share.

Data Cleansing 

  • Ensure there are no duplicate leads in CRM system
  • Ensure all leads are allocated to the correct salesperson
  • All records in CRM are up to date and correct

  Research new leads and develop opportunities 

  • Research and upload new leads into CRM system
  • Conduct research into lead territories and industry vertical

Sales Support 

  • Support the sales team with research and meeting preparation including preparing meeting presentations and packs 

Understand and verbalise the company value proposition 

  • Understand what the company divisions do
  • Sell the reason for someone to deal with the company – understand why the company is different and articulate that to the potential client.

Generate client meetings for the sales team through cold calling 

  • As skills progress, call potential clients with a view to setting up meetings for the sales team
  • Maintain professional office, phone and sales manner

Meet and strive to beat specific KPI’s and targets 

  • Meet and exceed KPI targets around certain key objectives, e.g. daily calls, leads qualified and appointments generated.

Core skills and knowledge

  • Regulatory Knowledge as applicable to role (compulsory)
  • Close attention to detail
  • Intelligent and articulate; able to present well both in writing and orally
  • Able to build strong relationships internally and externally

Any other attributes that would be helpful, but not essential for the role 

  • Sales Experience;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Business or Sales discipline;
