IT Support Co-ordinator

We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Co-ordinator to join an enthusiastic and friendly team, responsible for providing high quality support services within a busy service desk environment, this is a rewarding environment with industry leading systems. This post would be suitable for an ambitious graduate/experienced 1^st line support.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Act as the main contact for fault reporting, diagnosing and resolving IT issues where possible.
• Repair computer and peripheral equipment, or remove for repair if appropriate.
• Test and install software, providing user training where appropriate.
• Initiate additional support from team members or other 3rd parties and brief them as necessary.
• Undertake aspects of user network management within the server environment.
• Monitor the electronic ServiceDesk and respond to requests in line with departmental priorities.
• Maintain the hardware and software audits; order consumables and other equipment.
• Arrange routine maintenance to hardware and software.
• Set up and maintain the computer laboratories and IT Department offices.
• Perform any other reasonable duties specified by the Head of IT Services from time-to-time.

Personal Specification

• Direct experience of working within IT support
• Confident in dealing with a wide range of user queries
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Some flexibility with regards to hours or days worked is essential and a willingness to provide Saturday cover on an occasional rota basis is desirable. (The client is open to any flexible working requests)
