Senior PR Account Executive – Guildford

Our client based in Guildford is seeking a Senior PR Account Executive to join their small and busy team.

Duties will include:

  • Reading and monitoring all incoming publications and online outlets
  • Ensuring media correspondence records are up to date
  • Ensuring AE (Account Executive) regularly updating the forward features schedule through contact with publications and incoming updates
  • Ensuring AE regularly updating news hooks, key events and dates calendar
  • Proactively considering and sharing creative ideas, trends and stories that could inform our campaigns
  • Ensuring AE preparing and posting social media content
  • Manage blog content pipeline and ensure delivery
  • Writing pitches, blogs, press releases and other content
  • Sourcing and preparation of press lists and distribution of press releases
  • Pitching stories and following up on press releases/ feature ideas
  • Managing, monitoring, creating, posting organic and paid-for content across multiple social media channels
  • Ensuring incoming journalist queries are responded to in a timely manner and leading coordinated response
  • Saving and sharing press cuttings
  • Monitoring/chasing
  • Client liaison to ensure delivery of work accurately and on time from all parties
  • Ensuring contact reports remain up to date
  • Attending meetings, site visits and ensuring notes are taken/images taken
  • Regular communication with client sales teams/partners to ensure information on record remains up to date
  • Saving down images/information when received
  • Assisting in event organisation including supplier liaison
  • Keeping all internal information sources up to date including Award Profiles, Awards and Entries
  • Proactively chasing for and recording details of awards competitions including opening dates, criteria etc and informing team
  • Saving down all awards images and information when received
  • Assisting in ordering supplies and ensuring delivery
  • Preparing entries for sending/delivery

Skills required:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good writing skills with a strong grasp of English grammar and vocabulary
  • Confidence in ‘thinking outside the box’ and knowing when to do so
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good organisational skills and ability to manage a busy workload
  • A positive, enthusiastic and ‘can do’ attitude
  • An abundance of common sense
  • Highly articulate
  • Quick learner
  • Driving licence/ access to car preferred
