Our client is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Account Manager to join their sales team. This role is central to developing strong relationships, delivering fast and accurate service, and uncovering new opportunities within existing accounts.

You will work closely with Regional and National Account Managers, ensuring customer needs are met while also supporting the delivery of long-term account objectives. The position offers a blend of proactive outreach and reactive support, from managing incoming enquiries and preparing quotations to identifying growth opportunities and promoting tailored solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for account-level enquiries, providing professional and proactive support
  • Manage inbound sales enquiries, prepare accurate quotations, and ensure customers receive a swift, high-quality response
  • Identify opportunities within accounts to increase spend, close gaps, and promote additional products and solutions
  • Support Regional and National Account Managers in delivering account strategies and achieving targets
  • Follow up on quotations and opportunities to maximise conversions and build customer loyalty
  • Engage customers directly by phone to strengthen relationships and resolve queries quickly
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on CRM, including enquiries, quotations, notes, and follow-ups
  • Share customer insights and feedback with the wider team to support improvements
  • Where capacity allows, contact current or lapsed customers to generate additional business

What Our Client Is Looking For

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in internal sales, account management, or a customer-facing commercial role
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport and influence
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working at pace, managing multiple enquiries at once, and meeting deadlines
  • Commercially aware with a genuine interest in delivering customer-focused solutions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems

Performance Expectations

  • All inbound enquiries acknowledged within 1 hour
  • Standard quotation requests responded to within 4 hours
  • Complex or special requests responded to within 24 hours
  • All quotations followed up within 24 hours, and every 48 hours thereafter until closed
  • All enquiries, quotations, and actions logged accurately in CRM
  • 30 outbound dials per day (minimum)
  • 10 meaningful sales interactions per day
  • 10 virtual customer meetings per week
