Customer Service and Compliance Administrator – Reading
In this key role, you will work as a customer service and administrative support to the compliance team, helping the business maintain its high standards and meet its legal and regulatory obligations. You will play a vital role in ensuring smooth complaint handling and supporting professional standards across the firm.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and respond to formal client complaints in line with company policy
- Liaise with internal teams to investigate issues and draft responses
- Handle escalated complaints to regulators (Legal Ombudsman, SRA, ICO, etc.)
- Maintain complaints and data breach registers
- Support and guide staff on client care, data protection, and compliance matters
- Monitor regulatory policy updates and ensure internal processes stay compliant
- Manage and investigate data breaches in accordance with internal policy
- Review and manage Client Due Diligence (CDD) risk assessments
- Handle Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and determine risk levels
- Maintain and update all key compliance registers, including:
- Complaints, AML/CTF, Data, Conflicts, Gifts, Undertakings, File Reviews, Claims, Sanctions
Experience and Skills Requirements:
- Previous experience in a compliance, risk, or governance role in a regulated or professional environment.
- Understanding of complaint handling, compliance and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Confident communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant systems.
