Credit Controller

Our client, based in Godalming is seeking a Credit Controller on a full-time permanent basis. Core responsibilities within this role are to ensure that designated accounts are correctly maintained within laid down procedures.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong customer focus and the ability to understand the needs and priorities of our clients’ customers. This role would suit an individual looking to develop their career within a finance function who enjoys working within a dynamic and fast-paced environment within a close-knit team.

Duties include:

  • Ensure that debts are paid in a timely manner for each debtor book
  • Receiving, checking, and processing all new account credit application forms
  • Set and agree credit limits and payment terms for new and existing accounts using online credit checking facility
  • Assist the management structure with the maintenance and review of existing credit limits and terms
  • Customer contact, establishing relationships with new clients and chasing all overdue invoices
  • Posting all cash received onto Xero accounting software and reconciling the accounts receivable control accounts
  • Identify changes in payment patterns and propose actions to avert indebtedness
  • Issue weekly statements / letters for customer accounts
  • Report directly to the Accounts Team Manager and Managing Directors

  • Previous Credit Control experience (2 years minimum)
