Salary:£25,000 +5k bonus

  • Outbound/customer service calls/inbound
  • Call existing customers to generate new sales, discuss offers and special promotions
  • Identify, understand and recommend the most suitable product for the customer and offer expert advice in a professional, friendly and helpful manner
  • Take control of the call and instil trust and confidence in the caller
  • Identify and action key selling opportunities within the call
  • Attempt to upsell/cross sell at every opportunity and identify and action future needs for the customer
  • Preparation of quotations
  • Assist in processing customer orders
  • Processing online web orders including contacting each customer
  • Assist with product enquiries
  • Help with delivery issues
  • Sales and enquiry support to the Technical Advisors
  • Capturing the enquirers details and loading on to the database. Checking existing information is still up-to-date
  • Taking ownership of and handle customer complaints efficiently
  • Following up enquiries/quotations ensuring that they are dealt with efficiently from start to finish by following up with samples, datasheets and further phone calls
  • Dealing with carrier problems


  • Proven outbound sales experience
  • Ability to control the call and close the sale
  • Proven ability to hit targets and exceed them
  • Customer service experience essential
  • Good clear telephone manner
  • Team player
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise
  • Ability to identify other outbound/customer services opportunities
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Mathematical ability to calculate volume of product required for given dimensions
  • Able to retain product information and use this information correctly
  • Upbeat and positive
  • Reliable and able to put quotes together coherently
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills especially over the phone
  • Able to prioritise and multi-task
