Our client is looking for a motivated and technically minded Technical Consultant to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with clients to understand business requirements, provide technical solutions, and support successful project delivery. The successful candidate will act as the bridge between technical teams and clients, ensuring solutions are implemented effectively and deliver maximum value.
Key Duties
- Work closely with clients to gather and analyse business and technical requirements.
- Design and recommend appropriate technical solutions to meet client needs.
- Provide expert advice and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Configure, implement, and support software and technology solutions.
- Deliver product demonstrations, workshops, and user training sessions.
- Produce technical documentation, specifications, and user guides.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during implementation and support phases.
- Manage client relationships and provide ongoing post-implementation support.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Technical Consultant, Solutions Consultant, Systems Analyst, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of IT systems, software applications, and technical infrastructure.
- Experience gathering and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and client-facing experience.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience delivering projects within agreed timescales and budgets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Full UK driving licence may be beneficial depending on client requirements.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working with cloud technologies (Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of databases, APIs, and systems integrations.
- Understanding of project management methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.
- Relevant certifications (Microsoft, ITIL, Prince2, AWS, etc.).
- Experience within a consultancy or professional services environment.
