Payroll Administrator (Part-time)

Our client is seeking an organised and detail-oriented part-time Payroll Administrator (30 hours per month) to join a supportive HR team. Working closely with the Director of People and external payroll provider ADP, you will play a key role in delivering an accurate and efficient payroll service for employees across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer payroll changes including starters, leavers, salary changes, promotions, contractual amendments, and employee benefits.
  • Prepare and process monthly payroll information, ensuring all deadlines are met and payroll records remain accurate and up to date.
  • Liaise with ADP and internal stakeholders to resolve payroll queries, discrepancies, and employee enquiries.
  • Manage absence, sickness, maternity and holiday-related payroll calculations and records.
  • Produce payroll reports, spreadsheets, and employee payroll communications as required.
  • Support pension administration, including monthly assessments and payment processing.
  • Assist with annual payroll activities, including salary reviews, bonus payments, P11D data preparation, and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure payroll processes comply with company policies and statutory requirements.

Experience and Skills Requirements

  • Previous payroll administration experience is essential.
  • Experience working with payroll systems; familiarity with ADP would be advantageous.
  • Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of payroll processes, including sickness, maternity, absence management, and statutory deductions.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • A proactive, reliable and professional approach with a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
